Cape Verde: these diminutive ten islands in the Atlantic Ocean are the home a rich creole culture; a combination of their African and European roots.  Constantly eroded by the Harmattan, a dry dusty wind from the Sahara, the landscape comprises of sheer cliffs, bare plains & high active volcanoes with the interior valleys host terraced farming, pockets of primary forest & a network of footpaths to explore.

I travelled here during 2022 & am grateful for the hospitality shown me as well as finding ample solitude to unplug.
